The Declutter Plan to Plan to Declutter

Its an absolute horror to go through my storage unit. After ten plus years storing photos and clothes and glassware I am determined to die with less. Part of the reason I need to do this because I don't have anyone to give stuff with.

The amount of boxes are just boxes that found in a choice of boxes. I also have a lot of boxes which really is upsetting.

I have tried to consolidate into plastic bins and will eventually. I just have some dinnerwear I can't seem to find a way out of it.

I also have boxes of books and books and books.

My plan is to get through one box of books.

Its a lot of emotional storage to wade through the history and the pictures and the memories. Why I like this glass and I like this book or this machine does this but that one doesn't do that.

The experience of having too much is so hard guilt of just having space to store. Don't think for a second that I don't see the people with carts, suitcases, or even a flatbed cart carrying years of emotional stuff they bring with them place to place. They may be homeless but, I do see the tv screens or the couches or bags and bags of clothes.
Having space to put stuff away and store it makes a sanctuary that others don't have. It doesn't mean that I am rich.

I figure I am a good jiggle away from just having broken pieces to sweep up and toss.
