Happy Fourth of July.

 Today reminds me how hard it is to look forward. There has been a literal assault on the people of the United States by the purported elected official of this country. The numerous ignorant statements, insulting behavior and the outright robbery of freedom of the citizens of this nation is egregious but, here we are getting ready to celebrate our independence day. A total farce in the face of the reality so many people are facing unjustly put behind bars in a foreign country against their will without due process. 

Children have watched their parents carted, dragged, and pushed away from them as cowardly people "just following orders" undignified in their pursuit to "carry out an order" that should been questioned and at least paused. 

An agency is abusing the use of sanctioned work. Sanctuaries of religion have been pillaged. 

An individual rights is indelible is a vow that the men who wrote the constitution put ink to parchment as one would put chisel to stone. 

These truths are self evident and unwavering. 

Yet, there is a felon in the seat of power and that is abhorrent to any constitution that proclaims truth and justice for all.
