Bottle Wine

 

In my journey of looking for wine I am always looking for a unique or individual wine that would be nice. I have a closet full of red wine that I have to dedicate a full meal or special event to. That I am way over due to do. My next series of events are Saturday or Sunday maybe the Friday night of July 3rd. I am still doing my Five Star Michelin Dinner but, I am working through the wine portion too. and I love unique grapes. 

Except Picpoul deserves its greatness to Bonny Doon Vineyard where Randall Grahm has utilized this fabulous grape that more and more people are tasting it today. 

If Sauvignon Blanc is too grassy for you and you can't stand a Chardonnay look for the grapes that Randall Grahm uses. I have been so fortunate to have met him in person decades ago where I found out about Chablis and Grenache and Pinot Gris. When I was crafting my menu I know there would be bubbles but, what wines would work with the creamy avocado or be sharp against the citrus of pineapple? 

The Ernest Vineyards in Lodi Edaphos 2022 is delish and perfect with charred meats but it really sings with vegetables and makes quick work of refreshing the palate without tarnish of a burn. I found this STEAL at Dolores Outpost  where I found both international gems and amazing local. Plus there is always something good for a picnic in the park. I suggest you join their wine club today! 

One thing as we look at 2023 wine vintages don't discount a white wine over 2 years old this 2022 is absolutely amazing chilled and with the weather its perfect for a picnic at the beach or your backyard.
