Goals : Almost There

Yes, May 1st I made a goal list. Simply, lose weight, keep vlogging, save money. I didn't know it was going to be to stay alive. Labor Day is around the corner. I have not done the Fitness Blender workouts in part because I usually work out at 8pm in my bedroom. This is really a habit, but I have done the open water swim in the pacific ocean. The saving money is more difficult than planned because prices went up on EVERYTHING. My transit costs are about $125 a week now sans the $100 I put on LYFT monthly so yeah, its $600 for me to commute or just get around. The time commitment is also an issue but everything is about an hour away.

For my additional weight loss I have decreased my intake of coca-cola by at minimum of 80%. I don't have one everyday now, its more like maybe 6 a week. I still drink water to a degree. I added coffee to my regime in part because of its caffeine and weight loss benefits. I do volunteer a bit more than I did last year but, its not perfect. My diet usually consists of chicken and rice, tuna and pasta, eggs, cinnamon pancakes, fruit and vegetables, trader joe's mirapoix, elote dippers, dark chocolate, yogurt, cottage cheese, and turkey taco bowls. There is cheese but that is necessary as I buy 1 to 2lb blocks of cheese, blue cheese, and sour cream. I do make sandwiches and usually bring my lunch with me. I have the ramen noodles on occasion.

Saving money was near impossible but, I did end most of my Affirm loans. I just made a balloon payment on the highest interest credit card and next month I am going to pay off my tax bill. After that its looking for a home to live, the commute is really not great during the winter months and I now know what I can tolerate and not tolerate. I did put money in both my REIT and IRA but, actual savings has been miniscule.

My language DuoLingo has ben so disappointing, I can't not converse well in Spanish and I really do want to do that. I do go to the library and get books to read, setting aside a commute to write for an hour and read for an hour is amazing for one's mental health. Especially during this regime, its been horrible and I would love to say there is an answer except NO THIS IS WRONG - but everyday it seems like someone in the future went back in time and just fracked the whole world.

I have lost weight, I have travelled and I have saved some money. I can continue and look forward to the last four months of the year, if we don't start hurling through space as a frozen crystal ball.
