Recap 2025 ... it was (insert house on fire emoji) fine.

Well, Happy New Year if you are near the equator.

While I am probably still stuck in 2025, let's look back at some of the themes of my life and what I will be dealing with going forward.

Around September of every year I start to feel the itch, the whole "Throw everything out and clean" this feeling lasts a solid 5-6 months ending right before the day of my birth where I go "meh" and try to just pay taxes.

So, in January and now for the last three (3) January's I have Decluttered 101. The hope being that I somehow save money and my sanity. As I near the pristine mid life I am hopeful that next year (2027) will actually be the last year for the storage though even in the face of this regime I have cultivated quite a treasure trove in my 'smaller' storage unit.

In February its all about shedding my old skin and making the new year better with cleaning. Seriously, while I love the idea of #springcleaning there is no other time of year than February where you see me bust out the bleach and toss things in the trash and talk about the commercialization of Saint Valentines Day.

March is my month of birth and if you can't figure out which day I was brought into this world you and I don't talk often enough for me to explain it to you.

April, Taxes and suddenly I am a social butterfly but I am super judgy  and will probably get a sunburn or gravity will remind me of my mortal coil is a gift not a right.

Honestly, Summer starts here in Oz right after we spring forward and May to September is just trying to combat the sun while going outside. From a hankering for BBQ to protesting the regime. Summer is the worst here because its perpetually sunny and nice blue sky.

Then of course I am back at the Decluttering, the scheduling of events, the renting of a car and taking a vacation in October because that makes sense. While 2025 was a horror show because someone messed with the timeline. I hope 2026 we get better at being good.
